Best Quick Weight Loss Diet – The Cabbage Soup Diet

This is possibly one of the best quick weight loss diets around. Be warned though that this is only a short term diet, up to a week. It is meant as a kick start to your weight loss plans or just to lose a few pounds before and important event and not a long term solution to lose weight.

Cabbage soup Recipe:

Half a medium size cabbage
4 large onions
1 or 2 green peppers
1 can of tomatoes (diced or whole)
1 or 2 Carrots
½ cup of Mushrooms or add to your liking
2 sticks celery
Add spices to taste such as salt, pepper or garlic powder
Chicken or Beef stock cubes to add flavor if you would like


Cabbage Soup is very simple to make. Chop up the onions and put them in the pot on a low heat with some oil first. Once they have started to heat up chop up the other vegetables and put them in the pot. Add about 6 cups of water and your selected spices to taste. Cover and put on low heat for about 2 hours. Add salt and pepper to your liking.

Diet Plan – Best Way to Lose Weight Fast

Day 1

Fruit and Soup. Make sure to eat your soup on the first day. You can have as many pieces of fruit as you like but no bananas.

Day 2

Vegetables. Eat as many vegetables as you like. Raw, cooked or fresh, it doesn’t matter. Include some green leafy vegetables, and don’t forget the soup!

Day 3

Today is a combination of the previous days. So along with your soup you can eat all the fruit and vegetables you like but stay away from baked potatoes.

Day 4

Along with your cabbage soup you may eat up to eight bananas and as many glasses of skim milk as you like.

Day 5

Beef & Tomatoes. You may eat up to 280 to 500 grams of beef along with 6 fresh tomtoes. Keep drinking lots of water. Oh, and as always, as much soup as you like.

Day 6

Beef & Vegetables. You can eat as much steak and vegetables as you like. Try to include some leafy vegetables. Avoid baked potatoes. Remember to have your soup at least once.

Day 7

Brown Rice & vegetables. Eat as much of these as you like. You can drink unsweetened juice to give yourself some extra nutrients if you like.

Things to Watch Out For:

Because you are not getting all the nutrients you would normally get, you may feel a bit light headed or irritable on this diet plan. If you do feel this way you can drink some freshly juiced vegetable and fruit juice. If you don’t know how to do this you can take a multi-vitamin tablet. This is the best way to lose weight fast but do not stay on this diet for longer than seven days.
